Dave Dominik

David Dominik

David Dominik is a Managing Director of Golden Gate Capital. He has extensive private equity investment and operational experience, especially in a broad range of technology-related industries. Prior to Golden Gate Capital, Mr. Dominik spent ten years as a managing director at Bain Capital, where he was responsible for managing Information Partners, a specialized fund within Bain Capital that focused on software, information services and transaction processing companies serving a broad range of end markets. He also built several scale companies in the semiconductor and electronics industries. Mr. Dominik served on the investment committee of Brookside, Bain Capital’s public equity hedge fund and opened and ran the California office for Bain Capital. Previously, Mr. Dominik was a partner at Zero Stage Capital, an early-stage technology venture capital firm where he helped co-found several successful technology ventures. He was an early investor and assistant to the chairman of Genzyme Corporation. He also served as a Consultant at Bain & Company. Mr. Dominik has a JD from Harvard Law School (cum laude) and an AB from Harvard College (magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa).

Neale Attenborough is a Managing Director of Golden Gate Capital, with a focus on investment opportunities within the broader Consumer vertical. Prior to his current role, Mr. Attenborough served as an Operating Partner to the firm and as Chairman and CEO of portfolio company Orchard Brands. Prior to Golden Gate Capital, Mr. Attenborough was a Partner at Westways Ventures, an operating venture partnership focused on the consumer and health care sectors (during which time he also served as Chief Executive Officer of Medpearl, Inc. and co-founded Physician’s Dialysis LLC), and he held general management and senior marketing roles at Genesco, Boston Whaler and Northstar Navigation Technologies. He began his career in brand management at Procter & Gamble. Mr. Attenborough has an MBA (with Distinction) from Harvard Business School and a BA in Economics (with High Honors) from the University of Michigan.

Robert Kirby

Bob Kirby is a Managing Director of Golden Gate Capital, where he has been engaged since 2011. Mr. Kirby focuses on the broader Industrials vertical with an emphasis on driving operational enhancements across the portfolio. Prior to his current role, Mr. Kirby served as an Operating Partner to the firm and as CEO of portfolio company Atrium. Prior to Golden Gate Capital, Mr. Kirby was CEO of Vi-Jon, a leading private-equity owned private-label manufacturer in the personal care market and CEO of Accellent, a leading private-equity owned contract manufacturer in the medical device space. Earlier in Mr. Kirby’s career, he was a GM and led large scale and complex functions including the integration of acquisitions at large cap companies including Johnson & Johnson, Kimberly Clark, and Fort James. Mr. Kirby has a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of New Hampshire.

Greg Mason is a Managing Director of Golden Gate Capital, which he joined in 2016, and serves as the firm’s Director of Capital Markets. Mr. Mason is responsible for leading the execution of debt and equity related transactions across the Golden Gate private equity portfolio, as well as managing the firm’s relationships with corporate finance providers. Prior to joining Golden Gate, he was a Principal at Advent International, where he started the Capital Markets Group. Mr. Mason began his career in the United States Air Force where he was a captain and last served as Deputy Chief, Financial Analysis for the 51st Fighter Wing at Osan Air Base, South Korea. He earned a BA, summa cum laude, from Texas A&M University and a JD from Stanford Law School, where he was a member of the Stanford Law Review.

Rachel Masory is a Managing Director and General Counsel of Golden Gate Capital. Previously, she was a private equity partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP, where she concentrated her practice on complex cross-border and domestic transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate restructurings, and equity and debt financings. She received her undergraduate degree from Northwestern University, magna cum laude, and her J.D. from Harvard Law School, where she received the Dean’s Award for Community Leadership. She is a member of both the California and Illinois bar.

Nichole Barcelon

Nichole Barcelon is the Chief Talent Officer at Golden Gate Capital. Prior to joining Golden Gate Capital, Ms. Barcelon served as the Human Resources Director and Business Partner at BlackRock for 15 years working across global client groups. In this capacity, she provided the full suite of talent programs both for the broader Blackrock organization and for the specific individual groups with which she collaborated. Prior to joining BlackRock, she was a member of the Human Resources team at Quellos Group, a fund of funds business in Seattle. Ms. Barcelon holds the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and CFA Claritas designations and has a B.A. in International Studies and Modern Language from Seattle University.

Jon Davies

Jon Davies is an Executive Vice-President at Golden Gate Capital.  Prior to Golden Gate, Jon was a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP for over 30 years where he served as a member of both the US and Global Boards of Partners and was responsible at various times for the firm’s National Tax Practice and PwC’s Mergers & Acquisitions practice, in addition to advising clients on tax issues associated with large corporate transactions.  Jon served as PwC’s principal advisor to Golden Gate Capital for more than a decade.  Prior to PwC, Jon was a Professor of Accounting at The University of Alabama where he later taught as an Adjunct Professor of Law during his time at PwC.  Prior to that, he served as an Adjunct Professor of Tax Accounting at Georgia State University.  Mr. Davies received a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from The University of Louisiana-Monroe, a Master’s degree from The University of Florida, a Doctorate in Business Administration from Louisiana State University and a degree in Law from The University of Alabama.  Jon is a member of the Bar in Alabama, and is a Certified Public Accountant in Louisiana, Georgia, California, New York and the District of Columbia.

Nicholas McGrath is the Chief Compliance Officer, Chief Regulatory Counsel, and Associate General Counsel of Golden Gate Capital. Prior to joining Golden Gate Capital, Mr. McGrath served as the General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at RA Capital and MPM Capital, two healthcare and biotech investment advisers, where he was responsible for managing the legal, regulatory, and compliance functions at each firm.
Mr. McGrath holds a J.D. from the University of Maine School of Law, an LL.M. from St. John’s University School of Law, and a B.A. in International Business from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He is an attorney in good standing in Massachusetts, New York, and Maine. Mr. McGrath is also a FINRA Certified Regulatory and Compliance Professional.

Prior to joining Kirkland & Ellis, she was a law clerk for the Honorable Edith Brown Clement of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame, cum laude, and her J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School, where she was a comment editor for the Law Review. She is a member of the California Bar.

David Dominik

Prior to Golden Gate Capital, Mr. Dominik spent ten years as a managing director at Bain Capital, where he was responsible for managing Information Partners, a specialized fund within Bain Capital that focused on software, information services and transaction processing companies serving a broad range of end markets. He also built several scale companies in the semiconductor and electronics industries. Mr. Dominik served on the investment committee of Brookside, Bain Capital’s public equity hedge fund and opened and ran the California office for Bain Capital. Previously, Mr. Dominik was a partner at Zero Stage Capital, an early-stage technology venture capital firm where he helped co-found several successful technology ventures. Jon Davies is an Executive Vice-President at Golden Gate Capital.  Prior to Golden Gate, Jon was a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP for over 30 years where he served as a member of both the US and Global Boards of Partners and was responsible at various times for the firm’s National Tax Practice and PwC’s Mergers & Acquisitions practice, in addition to advising clients on tax issues associated with large corporate transactions.  Jon served as PwC’s principal advisor to Golden Gate Capital for more than a decade.  Prior to PwC, Jon was a Professor of Accounting at The University of Alabama where he later taught as an Adjunct Professor of Law during his time at PwC.  Prior to that, he served as an Adjunct Professor of Tax Accounting at Georgia State University.  Mr. Davies received a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from The University of Louisiana-Monroe, a Master’s degree from The University of Florida, a Doctorate in Business Administration from Louisiana State University and a degree in Law from The University of Alabama.  Jon is a member of the Bar in Alabama, and is a Certified Public Accountant in Louisiana, Georgia, California, New York and the District of Columbia.
