Dave Dominik

David Dominik

David Dominik is a Managing Director of Golden Gate Capital. He has extensive private equity investment and operational experience, especially in a broad range of technology-related industries. Prior to Golden Gate Capital, Mr. Dominik spent ten years as a managing director at Bain Capital, where he was responsible for managing Information Partners, a specialized fund within Bain Capital that focused on software, information services and transaction processing companies serving a broad range of end markets. He also built several scale companies in the semiconductor and electronics industries. Mr. Dominik served on the investment committee of Brookside, Bain Capital’s public equity hedge fund and opened and ran the California office for Bain Capital. Previously, Mr. Dominik was a partner at Zero Stage Capital, an early-stage technology venture capital firm where he helped co-found several successful technology ventures. He was an early investor and assistant to the chairman of Genzyme Corporation. He also served as a Consultant at Bain & Company. Mr. Dominik has a JD from Harvard Law School (cum laude) and an AB from Harvard College (magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa).

Prescott Ashe

Prescott Ashe is a Managing Director of Golden Gate Capital.  He has more than 20 years of private equity investing experience and has participated in both growth-equity and management buyout transactions.  Mr. Ashe oversees the firm’s credit investment strategy, which occurs largely through Angel Island Capital, a portfolio company of the Opportunity Fund.  He has extensive investment experience across a number of technology-related industries.  Prior to joining Golden Gate Capital, Mr. Ashe was a Principal at Bain Capital, which he initially joined in 1991, and a strategy consultant at Bain & Company. Mr. Ashe holds a JD from Stanford Law School and a BS in Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley (where he graduated first in his class).

Rajeev Amara joined Golden Gate Capital in July 2000. Mr. Amara oversees the firm’s investments and investment strategy in a variety of industrials sectors, including energy, aerospace, chemicals, building products, distribution, industrial technology, healthcare manufacturing and packaging. Mr. Amara has a BS in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Rob Little

Rob Little is a Managing Director and the Chief Operating Officer of Golden Gate Capital, which he joined in 2010.  Mr. Little oversees the firm’s investments in the financial services sector as well as the firm’s operations.  Prior to Golden Gate, Mr. Little was a Director at Hellman & Friedman.  Previously, from 2001 to 2008, he served as a Vice President in Goldman Sachs & Co.’s Investment Banking Group in New York and San Francisco. Mr. Little began his career as an officer in the U.S. Navy. He holds an MBA from Duke University and a BA in English from the University of Notre Dame.

Steve Oetgen

Steve Oetgen is a Managing Director and Executive Vice President, Finance and General Counsel of Golden Gate Capital. He was formerly a senior partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP, where he focused on private equity and buyout transactions for nearly 20 years, acting as lead counsel on a host of matters, including going-private transactions, venture capital investments, debt and equity financings, and other mergers and acquisitions. He was a founding partner of Kirkland’s San Francisco office and a member of that firm’s Finance Committee. Mr. Oetgen holds a J. D. from Georgetown University Law Center (magna cum laude; Order of the Coif) and a B.S. in Accountancy from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (with Bronze Tablet highest honors). He is an attorney in good standing with each of the California and Illinois bar.

Rachel Masory is the Deputy General Counsel for Golden Gate Capital. Previously, she was a partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP, where she concentrated her practice on complex cross-border and domestic transactions, including the representation of private equity funds and their portfolio companies, hedge funds, and private and public companies in mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and growth equity investments, joint ventures, corporate restructurings, equity and debt financings and “special situations” transactions. She received her undergraduate degree from Northwestern University, magna cum laude, and her J.D. from Harvard Law School, where she received the Dean’s Award for Community Leadership. She is a member of both the California and Illinois bar.

Greg Mason

Greg Mason joined Golden Gate Capital in 2016 and serves as the firm’s Director of Capital Markets. Mr. Mason is responsible for leading the execution of debt and equity financing transactions across the Golden Gate private equity portfolio, as well as managing the firm’s relationships with corporate finance providers. Prior to joining Golden Gate, he was a Principal at Advent International, where he started the Capital Markets Group. Mr. Mason began his career in the United States Air Force where he was a captain and last served as Deputy Chief, Financial Analysis for the 51st Fighter Wing at Osan Air Base, South Korea. He earned a BA, summa cum laude, from Texas A&M University and a JD from Stanford Law School, where he was a member of the Stanford Law Review.

Michele Shahroody joined Golden Gate Capital in 2014. Prior to joining Golden Gate Capital, Michele was a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP where she advised clients on tax issues associated with corporate transactions and financial and tax reporting.  Michele earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of California, Davis, and a Masters in Tax degree from George Washington University.  Michele is a Certified Public Accountant in California.

Jim O’Connor

Jim O’Connor joined Golden Gate Capital in February 2011 as the firm’s Chief Compliance Officer. Prior to joining Golden Gate Capital, Mr. O’Connor served as Chief Compliance Officer at Torrey Associates, a New York-based Fund of Funds founded in 1990, where he developed and oversaw the compliance infrastructure for two SEC- and NFA-registered investment managers for registered and unregistered products. Jon Davies is an Executive Vice-President at Golden Gate Capital.  Prior to Golden Gate, Jon was a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP for over 30 years where he served as a member of both the US and Global Boards of Partners and was responsible at various times for the firm’s National Tax Practice and PwC’s Mergers & Acquisitions practice, in addition to advising clients on tax issues associated with large corporate transactions.  Jon served as PwC’s principal advisor to Golden Gate Capital for more than a decade.  Prior to PwC, Jon was a Professor of Accounting at The University of Alabama where he later taught as an Adjunct Professor of Law during his time at PwC.  Prior to that, he served as an Adjunct Professor of Tax Accounting at Georgia State University.  Mr. Davies received a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from The University of Louisiana-Monroe, a Master’s degree from The University of Florida, a Doctorate in Business Administration from Louisiana State University and a degree in Law from The University of Alabama.  Jon is a member of the Bar in Alabama, and is a Certified Public Accountant in Louisiana, Georgia, California, New York and the District of Columbia.

Rob Little is a Managing Director and the Chief Operating Officer of Golden Gate Capital, which he joined in 2010.  Mr. Little oversees the firm’s investments in the financial services sector as well as the firm’s operations.  Prior to Golden Gate, Mr. Little was a Director at Hellman & Friedman.  Previously, from 2001 to 2008, he served as a Vice President in Goldman Sachs & Co.’s Investment Banking Group in New York and San Francisco. Mr. Little began his career as an officer in the U.S. Navy. He holds an MBA from Duke University and a BA in English from the University of Notre Dame.
